INFORMATION RESOURCE CENTRE

The Information Resource Centre (IRC) is an integral part of our teaching and learning program. It serves as a vibrant hub for knowledge acquisition, research, and intellectual exploration. By fostering a culture of inquiry and providing a wealth of resources, we empower our students to become lifelong learners and critical thinkers in an ever-evolving world.

The IRC boasts a comprehensive collection of traditional and modern research tools, ensuring that students have access to a variety of resources and references to support their academic pursuits. Books, articles and online databases - students can delve into a wealth of information to enrich their learning. To further facilitate student engagement, the IRC is equipped with computer equipment that can be used for study or various activities. Students have the opportunity to leverage technology for research, multimedia projects, or collaborative work, enhancing their digital literacy and technological skills.

For those students seeking a quiet and peaceful reading experience, the IRC features a designated quiet reading area. This space provides an ideal setting for students to immerse themselves in literature, fostering a love for reading and independent exploration.

Recognising the importance of individual study and concentration, the IRC provides private study areas where students can focus on their coursework and assignments without distractions. These dedicated spaces promote a conducive learning environment, allowing students to maximize their productivity and academic performance.

The IRC is staffed by an Information Resource Officer who is dedicated to assisting students in utilising the resources effectively. They ensure that the collection of resources continually grows and evolves to align with student interest and curriculum requirements.

The IRC is not limited to formal classroom hours. It remains accessible to students during recess and lunchtime, providing additional opportunities for independent research, group collaboration, or simply a quiet space to relax and engage with a book.
